Just Surviving

Image
T hey are filled with early mornings , bottles, diapers, fussiness, homeschooling, temper tantrums, melt downs, and the like. My Motherhood days. Most days I feel alone in this journey. Mother's are busy with their own families. By the time I get the three of us ready to go out the door, I'm completely worn out and feel like going nowhere. My husband helps me out when he gets home, but there is no one to help me weather the rough days, I feel like. I don't tend to call on friends because I know that they are busy and probably can't help out. I'm completely worn out by the end of the day. I have poured myself out to everyone and have nothing left to offer to anyone else. I am tired to the bone. Does this sound like you sweet mamma friend?    I found this wonderful book to be such an encouragement to me. If this sounds like you. Then I would suggest that you order it and begin reading it along with me. I would love the opportunity to discuss this with...

Never Let'em See You Sweat. Really?

Image
Notice: After some research I found that blogger has some kinks that they are working on. One being the comments section. So I am over here if you would like to share with me. I t was a catch phrase in an old anti perspirant commercial. We have used this phrase in many other sittings as well. In interviews, in ballgames and the like. I have often heard it used in parenting circles as well. Never let your kids see you sweat. Really? It has come to me when in situations this week that I have called on my Daddy for help that I did it sliently in my heart not letting good and perfect gift see me or hear me in my distress. What a disservice I have let him see.                 He deals with fear of monsters and such. I tell him call out to Jesus and he will be with you. We have  this bible verse  that we say when we are afraid. He listens carefully and then says his verse. He proceeds to walk confidant...

For The Days When Your Temper Gets The Best Of You.

Image
W e had enjoyed it so much. The movie, the dinner out. We had a sitter for good and perfect gift and our little joy girl. It had been a whole year since our last date night. We were celebrating our 21st anniversary. The day we said "I do" to one another for the duration of time that we have here. We don't get to do this often enough but had said last night that we needed to make a point to do this so much more often. We needed to be refreshed. We needed reconnection. We needed time alone to have conversation just for us.                                                                                  ...

The First Journey Home

Image
W e had laughed as we traveled listening to Adventures In Odessy. We had listened to it twice. The stories had carried us all the way to her house. We had pulled into the driveway. It was dark by the time we had arrived. Dad had left the light on for us even though he went to visit my sisters home. The car had come to a complete stop. We began getting our luggage out of the car for our stay on Thanksgiving Weekend. It was the first time I had been home since Mom went to her heavenly home. I had carried a couple of bags up the ramp and into the house. I did not know it was going to be this hard. My eyes began to brim and flow. There was no stopping what my heart was experiencing. The ache of the broken heart seems to never mend.                                          ...

The Grateful Heart Of A Child

Image
H e prayed for her weekly and monthly. He prayed for her as did Hannah prayed for Solomon. He never gave up until an answer finally came. He taught me how to prayer as a child coming to the Father with full expecting faith. I watch him all day as he goes throughout the day. How he kisses on her and hugs on her.            He adores her to no end. He loves her with a grateful love. He asks me more than 20 times daily,"Mommy is it o.k. if I giver her a kiss or a hug?"  I smile big and nod. He shows his gratitude through the action of love shown by affection. I tease him and tell him that he loves on her more than her Daddy and I do! He giggles and says" Mommmy". If she knows anything, She knows the wonderful love of her parents and her big brother.       She is loved and kissed and hugged on so much in one day, how it is that God brings a family closer when he gives you a new mem...

There May Be Pain In The Night, But "Joy" Comes In The Morning

Image
I have been mourning the loss of my Mother, wanting to share my days with her, I miss calling her and hearing her voice. I have been dealing with an array of emotions that I can only look to my heavenly Daddy to help me walk through. I have cried more in the past two weeks than I have cried in the past two months leading up to her departure to her heavenly home. My Daddy has been my strength. I have had to lean heavy upon him to carry me through this. My pain at times has been hard to bare but my strength comes from the one who can help me to bare the pain of loss. He lost his Son on a cruel cross. He watched as his Son took his last breath. He watched the suffering of his Son as he was beaten beyond recognition. He knows what I'm going through.I breathe and I let him carry me. He knows my pain in the night and yet he has brought me "joy" in the morning. I was induced at 9:00 a.m. and my joy was born at 3:55. Her name means "joy". Her middle name means "f...

There May Be Pain In The Night But Joy Comes In The Morning

I have been mourning the loss of my Mother. Going through the pain of not having her here to share my days. I have shed more tears in the past two weeks than I have shed in the past two months leading up to her departure to Her heavenly home. Noone can replace your Mother, or fill the void that is left behind. I cry out in the night that my Daddy give me a fullness of His Holy Spirit to endure each day that brings a mixture of emotions that are hard to deal with.     Two weeks and three days ago my sweet baby girl was born.
